Route Question

Posted by Patty Rudolph on Wednesday, August 20 at 02:35 AM

Hello everyone! Does anyone know of a website that will help you figure out the mileage of a run? For instance, we have been and will continue to be traveling a lot and I keep driving around towns in WI and MN to "map out" my miles - to make sure I am keeping up with my running distance. Is there a runners equivalent of Mapquest that will route out a 9 mile loop in Rhinelander, WI so we don't have to spend the time driving around before the run (do I have to say getting lost too)? Would love to hear if anyone found such a tool! We will be out of town again this Sat/Sun - but I hope you all have a great run/ride.

Try www.mapmyrun.com, it will calculate the mileage for a route or search maps for routes other people in the area have already run and mapped. You can save your routes for future reference too.

You might try gmap-pedometer.com. I used this prior to purchasing my H.R.M

The USA Track and Field website has a mapping feature called America's Running Routes. You can search pre-mapped routes by zipcode or map your own. www.usatf.org
